Thirteenth Step is the critically acclaimed second studio album by American alternative rock supergroup A Perfect Circle, released on September 16, 2003, through Virgin Records. Helmed by guitarist Billy Howerdel and Tool vocalist Maynard James Keenan, the album serves as a concept piece exploring the dark facets of addiction, recovery, and codependency from multiple perspectives. It debuted at number 2 on the Billboard 200, selling over 231,000 copies in its first week and eventually achieving RIAA Platinum certification.
