Blonde Redhead is the self-titled debut studio album by the American alternative rock band Blonde Redhead, released in July 1994.The album was produced by Sonic Youth drummer Steve Shelley, who subsequently released it on his independent record label, Smells Like Records. Characterized by its raw, chaotic energy and striking noise-rock elements, the record heavily channels the late-'70s New York no-wave movement. At a concise runtime of just over 29 minutes, it delivers a short, visceral burst of art-damaged rock.
