The Crackdown is the fourth studio album by the English electronic band Cabaret Voltaire, released in August 1983 through record labels Some Bizzare and Virgin. This landmark release marked a massive stylistic pivot for the group. It fused their earlier, avant-garde industrial sound with more conventional, driving electronic dance-funk rhythms.
