Time Out is the landmark 1959 studio album by the American jazz group The Dave Brubeck Quartet, celebrated as one of the most rhythmically innovative and commercially successful albums in jazz history. Released by Columbia Records, it became the first jazz album to sell over one million copies. It is highly revered for its pioneering use of unconventional, complex time signatures that were completely foreign to mainstream jazz at the time.
