Some Great Reward is the fourth studio album by the English electronic band Depeche Mode, released on September 24, 1984, by Mute Records. Recorded at the legendary Hansa Mischraum in Berlin, it is widely considered the album where the band solidified their classic dark synth-pop and industrial sound. Driven by Martin Gore’s deepening lyrics and Alan Wilder’s pioneering use of samplers, the album propelled Depeche Mode into mainstream global success.
