Erasure is the self-titled seventh studio album by the English synth-pop duo Erasure, released on October 23, 1995, by Mute Records. Moving away from their signature three-minute, radio-friendly pop singles, Vince Clarke and Andy Bell adopted a more experimental and atmospheric direction for this record. The tracks are characterized by longer arrangements, ambient textures, and heavy use of vintage synthesizers.
