Frank Zappa / Hot Rats

Hot Rats is the second solo studio album by American avant-garde musician Frank Zappa, released on October 10, 1969. Created shortly after the temporary dissolution of his band, the Mothers of Invention, the record is a pioneering landmark in the jazz-rock fusion genre. Zappa famously described the predominantly instrumental, sonically dense project in his original sleeve notes as "a movie for your ears".
