Four Minute Mile is the debut studio album by the American emo band The Get Up Kids, released on September 30, 1997, through Doghouse Records. Recorded in Chicago over just two and a half days on a slim $4,000 budget with producer Bob Weston, the album's raw, energetic sound helped establish a national fanbase and catalyzed a major-label bidding war. It is widely recognized as a foundational release that bridged mid-90s indie rock with the booming late-90s emo-pop movement.
