Blues for the Red Sun is the critically acclaimed second studio album by American rock band Kyuss, released on June 30, 1992. Produced by Chris Goss and the band itself, the album is widely recognized as a groundbreaking pioneer of the stoner rock and desert rock genres. It famously established the band’s signature sun-baked, ultra-heavy sound, created primarily by guitarist Josh Homme plugging his guitar down-tuned to C-standard directly into a bass amplifier.
