Filth Pig is the sixth studio album by American industrial metal band Ministry, released on January 30, 1996, through Warner Bros. Records.
The album marked a massive stylistic departure for the band. Moving away from the hyper-fast tempos, heavy sampling, and electronic synthesizers that defined their breakthrough record Psalm 69, Filth Pig stripped the music down to a raw, sludgy, and slower tempo. Fueled by ultra-noisy guitars, heavy bass, and live acoustic drums, the album borders on sludge metal and doom metal.
