Folk Singer is the fourth studio album by legendary blues musician Muddy Waters, released in January 1964 by Chess Records. It stands as his only all-acoustic album, recorded to capitalize on the massive folk music revival of the early 1960s. The album strips away the electric Chicago blues style that Waters made famous. Instead, it features an intimate, unamplified return to his Mississippi Delta roots.
