Black Holes and Revelations is the fourth studio album by English rock band Muse, released on July 3, 2006, through Warner Bros. Records and Helium-3. Co-produced by Rich Costey, the album represents a major stylistic shift for the band, heavily blending their alternative rock roots with electronica, space rock, funk, and pure pop influences. It was a massive commercial success, hitting number one in the UK and serving as the band's official mainstream breakthrough in the United States.

The album's iconic cover art was designed by Storm Thorgerson and features the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse sitting around a table on Mars. Lyrically, the album explores heavy themes of cosmic paranoia, political disillusionment, global control, and rebellion.
