Pearl Jam / Ten

Ten is the multi-platinum debut studio album by the American rock band Pearl Jam, released on August 27, 1991, through Epic Records. Following the tragic drug overdose of Mother Love Bone frontman Andrew Wood, surviving band members Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament joined forces with guitarist Mike McCready, drummer Dave Krusen, and San Diego vocalist Eddie Vedder to birth the record. Named after the jersey number of NBA player Mookie Blaylock, Ten merged anthemic, classic rock-infused riffs with aggressive punk intensity to help turn Seattle grunge into a global phenomenon.
