Black Market Music is the third studio album by British alternative rock band Placebo, released on October 9, 2000, by record label Hut Recordings. Written and recorded over a span of nine months between late 1999 and mid-2000, it marked a transitional period for the band as they incorporated more diverse sonic textures—including elements of hip-hop, electronic sequencing, and sharp political commentary.
