Talking Heads: 77 is the acclaimed debut studio album by the American new wave band Talking Heads, released on September 16, 1977, by Sire Records. Recorded at New York's Sundragon Studios, the album formally introduced the music world to the band's distinctive, twitchy "geek-rock" and art-punk sound. It features the core four-person lineup of David Byrne (vocals, guitar), Tina Weymouth (bass), Chris Frantz (drums), and Jerry Harrison (keyboards, guitar).
