Tenacious D is the self-titled debut studio album by the American comedy rock duo Tenacious D, released on September 25, 2001, through Epic Records. Moving away from their raw, acoustic live roots, Jack Black and Kyle Gass teamed up with producers The Dust Brothers to create a polished, fully backed studio record. The album peaked at number 33 on the Billboard 200 and was certified Platinum by the RIAA in late 2005.
