Van Morrison / Astral Weeks

Astral Weeks is the critically acclaimed second studio album by Northern Irish singer-songwriter Van Morrison, recorded in September and October 1968 and released in November of that year by Warner Bros. Records. Widely regarded as a landmark achievement in popular music, the album departed from the pop-leaning garage rock of Morrison's early career—such as his hit "Brown Eyed Girl"—in favor of a deeply poetic, stream-of-consciousness style.
